Brew day was last Friday, and I began my much anticipated Crème Brûlée Ale. I say began because there are a number of steps post brew that must be completed for this beer to be finished.
I also used too much water. Sounds bad right?
Well, It’s not so bad, what I wound up with was too much beer. Sounds great now, huh?
I’m transferring it to secondary fermentation on Saturday before Julie and I begin our holiday celebrations, so when that happens I’m going to add some malt extract to compensate for the additional water. I’m actually happy I used more water than originally intended, and am planning my next brew (an IPA I’m sure will be ‘successful’) to be a higher volume as well.
My 5 gallon batches are going way too quickly.
